Caring for Bamboo Fabric

Caring for Bamboo Fabric

Bamboo fabric is quickly becoming a popular alternative to traditional cotton fabrics. Not only is it incredibly soft, comfortable, and gentle on sensitive and eczema-prone skin, but it is also eco-friendly and sustainable.  Luckily bamboo fabric is also easy to care for.

Wash bamboo fabric preferably in cold water and on a gentle cycle. Hot water and harsh detergents can damage the fabric and cause it to lose its softness and shape. It is also best to avoid using fabric softeners as they can leave a residue on the fabric and reduce its absorbency.

When drying bamboo fabric, dry it on low heat in the dryer or air dry. The high heat of the dryer can cause the fabric to shrink and lose its shape.

If you need to iron your bamboo fabric, it is best to use a low heat setting and steam setting. Ironing on high heat can scorch the fabric and cause it to lose its softness and shine. It is also essential to avoid using bleach or other harsh chemicals on bamboo fabric as they can damage the fibers and cause discoloration.

By following these simple care instructions, you can ensure that your bamboo fabric stays soft, comfortable, and beautiful for years to come.
